Policies & Procedures

Insurance

Due to the constraints placed on both therapists and their clients, we do not accept insurance directly. However, we will gladly provide you with a bill of service which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement as outlined by your plan.

Payment

Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted for payment at the time services are provided.

Cancellation Policy

When we book a session with you, your family or your child, the time is specifically reserved for you. If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. If you miss your therapy session, without notifying us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. Please note that cancellations must be made by phone by calling 203-249-4153. Email cancellations are not accepted.

In Case Of Emergency

In the event that you are faced with an emergency, please call 911 or go to your local emergency room for immediate attention. Please contact your therapist directly as soon as you can to inform them of the event.

Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist/medical provider, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission. Exceptions include:

  • Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which we are required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person(s), we must notify the police and inform the intended victim, as well as damage to property as required in the State of Connecticut.
  • If a client intends to harm himself or herself, we will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, we will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
