Ava Albrecht, MD
Dr. Albrecht is a double Board Certified Psychiatrist, specializing in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. With an M.D. from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois, she completed rigorous residencies in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine. Notably, Dr. Albrecht served as Chief Resident for both programs during her tenure there.
Having a strong foundation in academia and training, Dr. Albrecht went on to make significant contributions in clinical settings. She spent eight years as the Associate Director of the Adolescent Day Hospital at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City, followed by a pivotal role as Service Chief of Adolescent Inpatient Services at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT, where she served from 2008 to 2021.
Dr. Albrecht brings her wealth of knowledge and expertise to her private practice, established in 1998. In this capacity, she conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and is highly skilled in administering psychopharmacological treatments for children, adolescents, and adults.
